FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about Blynq.

01 Is Blynq free to use?
Yes — Blynq is completely free. All features including the dashboard, ticket system, logging, welcome messages and more are available at no cost. There are no premium tiers or paywalled features.
02 How do I add Blynq to my server?
Click Add to Server at the top of this page. You'll be redirected to Discord's authorization page — select your server, confirm the permissions and Blynq will join immediately. You can then open the dashboard to configure it.
03 Why can't I see my server in the dashboard?
Two things need to be true for a server to appear in your dashboard:

1. Blynq must already be in the server — invite it here if you haven't yet.
2. Your Discord account must have the Manage Server permission in that server.

If both are true and the server still doesn't appear, try logging out and back in.
04 What permissions does Blynq need?
Blynq requests Administrator during the invite for simplicity, but it only actively uses the permissions it actually needs — such as managing channels (for temp voice and tickets), sending messages, reading message history, and managing roles. You can adjust permissions per-channel or per-category in Discord after the invite if you prefer a tighter setup.
05 Who can access the dashboard and change settings?
Only Discord users who have the Manage Server permission in a server can open that server's dashboard page. Regular members cannot access the settings at all — not even by guessing the URL, since access is verified server-side on every request.
06 Blynq is not responding to commands — what do I do?
Check the following in order:

1. Make sure Blynq is online (green dot in your member list).
2. Verify that Blynq has permission to read and send messages in that channel.
3. Slash commands can take a few minutes to register on a newly invited bot — wait a moment and try again.
4. If the issue persists, open a support ticket in the dashboard under Support.
07 Can I use Blynq on multiple servers?
Yes — there is no limit. Add Blynq to as many servers as you like. Each server has its own completely independent configuration in the dashboard, so settings on one server never affect another.
08 What data does Blynq store about my server?
Blynq only stores data that is directly needed for the features you enable — for example the channel ID you picked for welcome messages, counting scores, or ticket transcripts. No message content is stored unless a ticket is closed and a transcript is saved to your configured log channel. Member data (such as birthdays) is only saved when a member actively registers it via a slash command.
09 How do I remove Blynq from my server?
Open your Discord server settings → Integrations → Blynq and click Kick Blynq, or go to your Discord member list, right-click Blynq and select Kick. All bot activity stops immediately. Your dashboard configuration is kept for 30 days in case you invite Blynq back — after that it is permanently deleted.
10 How do I stay up to date with new features?
Check the Changelog page — every update, new feature and bug fix is documented there. You can also join the Blynq Discord server where release announcements are posted directly.

Couldn't find an answer?
